Top Tips for Filming

IMPORTANT: Please adhere to the latest Government Guidelines – any audition Show Reels breaking these will be disqualified.

Where possible, ask someone else from your household to film you as this will mean you can concentrate on performing…

  1. Set the phone camera quality to high in the settings
  2. Clean the camera lens on your phone with a dry cloth
  3. Film to the side of windows to let light in & not cast shadows
  4. Avoid filming in front of windows as the light will cast shadows
  5. Where possible, record your film with your phone/tablet in landscape format (turn phone/tablet on its side)
  6. Keep the recording to no more than 3 minutes in length

Now you are ready to shine like the superstar you are and press record.

Send us your Show Reel

IMPORTANT: Please do not email your Show Reel using your phone email account as this will lower the quality of your video.

Once you have signed up below and are ready to send your 3 minute Show Reel, please follow these instructions…

  1. Use your phone’s internet browser to visit wetransfer.com
  2. Tap/Click ‘Add your files’
  3. Email to: fundraising@rowanshospice.co.uk
  4. Your email: The email address we can contact you on
  5. Message: Please include your full name so that we can match up your application and Show Reel.
  6. Press Transfer

Your Show Reel will then make its way to our judging panel to review.
