Walk under the Moon and Stars for Rowans

Moon and Stars Memories Walk is a poignant, yet fun event which combines our two most popular fundraisers, the Moonlit Memories Walk and children’s Starlit Walk.

We hope that Government and Portsmouth City Council Guidelines allow us to hold a physical event this year, however, we do understand not everyone will be comfortable participating in large groups just yet.

The Moon and Stars Memories Walk is the perfect solution, which allows everyone to take part. Join in to celebrate the memory of a loved one and support your local Hospice on our biggest virtual walk!

Nutrition – keep a balanced diet including:

  • Carbs (potatoes, pasta, starchy foods)
  • Protein (lean meat, Quorn, tofu, eggs, milk)
  • Fat
  • Fibre
  • Vitamins and minerals (most foods have all the nutrients you need so supplements shouldn’t be necessary)
  • After a workout you will feel hungry and will need to replace lost nutrients. Things to help recovery are proteins.
  • The more colourful your plate can be the better.
  • Try and stay away from fried things and sweet treats, the odd treat is ok in moderation.
  • Most importantly make sure you drink enough water, at Least 2 litres a day.
